SME’s are vulnerable to cyber attacks and should invest more in Cyber Security.
In this article, journalist Luigi Garofalo, explains that cyber-risk awareness is pretty low among SMEs and that these organizations should raise their information security defences. Often, SMEs do not understand that the cyber attacks not only affect their IT infrastructure, but also their key IP (Intellectual Propriety).
Governments have put in place good cyber defence plans but should also launch awareness campaigns in order to inform the business world about the risks and how to organize prevention.
SMEs are faced with an important challenge also because most cyber security vendors are very large companies offering standardized service packages that often do not match SME’s needs. Emaze is a solution to this problem as it offers tailor made solutions and is independent from any vendor. Also, as Emaze is itself an SME, it therefore provides its clients with realistic budgets for putting together Cyber Security plans.
