Wireless Monitor
ipLegion Modules
Wireless Monitor is the module of ipLegion platform which allows to monitor wireless network areas and infrastractures from a physical and a logical point of view as well.
After a series of analyses the software is able to provide with a global view of implement and security state of wireless infrastructure or to assess the absence of radio signal over the tested area.
ipLegion Wireless Monitor is also provided with a hardware dedicated device, of small dimension and user friendly that make the deployment easier, both effectively and economically.

ipLegion Wireless Monitor identifies Access Point and mobile clients belonging to wireless networks as standard IEEE 802.11b, 11g e 11a and it checks their security state.
It is possible to trace back the structure of analyzed network by cataloging every single client host, the Access Point and the pertinent dependences; about every identified device it reports all the details regarding its wireless configuration and its connection state.
The result is the immediate control about the good functionality of wireless network and the identification of possible external hosts, either Access Point or client. The scan and the analyses are totally passive so the monitoring does not affect the network activity.
The scanning and analysis operations are performed in a total passive way, therefore the monitoring does not affect network services.
IpLegion Wireless Monitor: WEP Protocol
It is possible to control the good quality of WEP keys and of the Access Point WEP protocol thanks to the improved sophisticated deciphering and cracking algorithm.
The use of WEPkeys is possible when they are provided by the administrator or taken by cracking means as they can give further information i.e the IP address of the analyzed hosts in order to compare them with the results of the scanning wired side.
