New vulnerabilities of network softwares are discovered every day. ipLegion Vulnerability Assessment is automatically brought up to date from Emaze Research centre by adding new security checks.

ipLegion Vulnerability Assessment: Scanning

The scanning machine of Vulnerability Assessment module is formed by a sophisticated coordination and caching algorithm of information collected by security checks.
ipLegion Vulnerability Assessment allows to considerably reduce scanning duration and to control the traffic produced by the analyzed networks during every scanning in order not to affect network operations.
ipLegion Vulnerability Assessment performs a complete scanning of every port and protocol of the analyzed systems simulating attacks either against computers or network devices.

ipLegion Vulnerability Assessment: Scanning Results

The results reported by Security Checks can be examined at the end of every scan through the web interface. Details of each analyzed system are available (offered services, open ports etc...).
If vulnerabilities are discovered the following information are reported:

• number of identified vulnerabilities
• detailed description of every vulnerability: its classification, the impact and the risk level (info, low, middle, high)
• affected software or hardware
• possible solutions
• references to a Vendor and Advisory.
