Net Discovery
ipLegion Modules
Net Discovery is a module of iplegion platform allowing to identify every device in the range of the tested addresses and, if possible, it assesses the type and the Operating System installed.
ipLegion Net Discovery gives a snapshot of the whole network and allows to identify the really reachable systems or find out new others connected to network. It is possible to work with the other modules and perform deeper tests according to achieved information.
The module analyzes all addresses recognized by:
- device ping
- check for open ports (from NetBIOS, FTP, SMTP, ...)
It identifies the Operating System installed in the device system through the fingerprint of the stack TCP/IP.
These information come together into database ipLegion and are accessible through the centralized web interface.
